Oh Yeah! This Kool-Aid Pickle Recipe is Oddly Delicious

KOOL-AID PICKLES

Pickles and Kool-Aid. Not since Romeo and Juliet has a couple been so perfect for each other, yet so cursed to stay apart for eternity.

That is, until now. Kool-Aid Pickles have come together to make sweet love on your taste buds. Sorry that sounds gross, but hey, so do pickles soaked for days in cherry Kool-Aid.

Kool-Aid Pickles may sound outrageous and unnatural like pineapple on pizza or Pete Davidson on anyone, but Koolickles are nothing new to Southerners. Apparently, some Wal-Marts in the Mississippi Delta region even sell them in their stores, on purpose.

Luckily, you don't have to waste any gas money searching for that sweet and sour Koolickle fix. Keep reading for an oddly delicious recipe, with only four ingredients. Pepto Bismol chaser, not included.  Definitely Not Gourmet/YouTube

INGREDIENTS

Here's everything you need to wow your friends, family, and large men made entirely out of Kool-Aid.

• 1 (46 oz) jar of whole dill pickles
• 1 cup sugar
• 2 cups water
• 2 (1 oz) packets of Kool-Aid drink mix, flavor of your choice.  In Your State/Pinterest

STEP 1

Drain and discard the juice from the pickle jar.

Pro-Tip, don't toss out that sweet, I mean sour, dill pickle juice. Make yourself a pickle martini, this will make a lot more sense if you're drunk.  13 On Your Side/YouTube

STEP 2

Remove the pickles from the jar and cut each one in half lengthwise. Return the pickles to the jar and set aside. They have no idea of the unspeakable horrors they are about to experience.  Chiot's Run/Flickr

STEP 3

In a large measuring cup, combine the sugar, water, and of course, the packet of Kool-Aid powder.

STEP 4

Pour enough of the Kool-Aid mixture into the pickle jar to entirely cover the pickles. Discard any excess juice, or just go ahead and chug the thing. Nothing matters anymore!  GetBabyCakes/YouTube

Cover the jar and shake to mix.

STEP 6

Refrigerate 24 hours or more. The longer the pickles sit, the stronger the Kool-Aid flavor will become.
