With dazzling patience and craftsmanship, Olga Azaroff from San Diego has become an internet sensation after bedazzling her BMW with a million Swarovski crystals, a process that took three weeks and captured the attention of millions on TikTok.

Azaroff, who identifies herself as a “skilled crystal artist,” shared her meticulous work on the social media channel under the handle @crystals.motors. The video quickly went viral, amassing over 20 million views in one week, leaving viewers in awe of the extensive time and effort invested in the project.

Partnering with her friend Sasha Socko, Azaroff has turned her passion into a business called Crystals Motors, specializing in car wraps. The company aims to combine the thrill of automotive engineering with the elegance of crystal artistry, creating a blend that has captured the hearts of car enthusiasts worldwide.

This crystal-covered BMW has not been without its share of controversy - the viral video started debates about the practicality of such a design, with viewers concerned about car maintenance, potential driving hazards, and even questioning the legality of driving a car adorned with rhinestones.

Responding to questions, Azaroff explained that traditional methods like a “diamond wrap” were not feasible for their project, as applying vinyl with crystals would result in peeling. She also demonstrated the method of cleaning the jewel-adorned car with a makeup brush, adding glamour to the maintenance routine.

In a separate post on Instagram, Azaroff and Socko invited others to experience the sparkles firsthand by renting the “miracle machine.” The duo, along with their team of “crystal artists,” dedicated over three weeks to meticulously hand-placed a million crystals onto the BMW, creating what they proudly call a “unique piece of automotive art.”
